Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Chengdu
When you arrive in Chengdu, take a taxi to your hotel. Check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day for self-exploring or relaxation.
Day 2 Chengdu (Breakfast)
After breakfast, visit the famous “Broad & Narrow Alley”, where, over the past centuries since its construction in Qing dynasty, it has gone through countless building improvisations under heavy influences from both Eastern and Western cultural styles. Then, visit the scenic “People’s Park”, where you will experience the relaxing leisure and peacefulness of the environment and worldliness of local seniors and their lifestyles. After, get a traditional taste of tea, through its sophisticated processes of preparation and knowledge, at a local teahouse.
Day 3 Chengdu (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast at the hotel, tour the Chengdu Dujiangyan Panda Base
Get a unique opportunity of being a “staff” for the breeding center. Participate in the “Panda Keeper Tour” at the Dujiangyan Panda Base and get a chance to enter into all restricted areas in the Centre, being in close contact with the lovely pandas. With participation in the “Panda Keeper Tour”, a lecture on handling the lovely pandas will be given by one of the center’s directors. Then, you will receive your panda keeper uniform and restricted area passport to enter the research facility. You will be assigned to a supervisor who will assist you for your time with the pandas. (Some activities might include: sweeping the immaculate panda bins, prepared bamboos for the panda, feeding the panda, help to shower a panda and etc.). (Please be advised that activities listed are not all guaranteed. The Breeding Centre will make the arrangements accordingly for your activities). During your break, you are free to roam and explore the facility.
Day 4 Chengdu-Home (Breakfast)
After breakfast, your land tour will end at your hotel. Begin traveling home or extend your journey to other cities in China.
