2 min read

A trip to Chengdu can be exciting and eye-opening. Chengdu is a famous historical and cultural city in China. How can you get the best travel experience in a limited time? The answer is that the following 10 things need to be avoided.

1. Don’t trust the weather forecast easily.

2. Don’t panic when it’s heavy rain.

Even if there is a rainy season, heavy rain comes and goes so easily that you may not noticed it when it has gone. Heavy rains in the south and the sun in the north are common.

3. Don’t just take a taxi at the airport and train station gates.

Although Chengdu is a safe city, many private cars without a license will pretend to be taxis.

4. Don’t challenge the subway and train station during the morning and evening peak hours, especially the Tianfu Square subway and Chengdu South Railway Station.

5. Try not to bring your luggage to the subway. If carrying a bag, make sure there is no liquid in the bag.

Chengdu Metro has security inspection facilities and advanced liquid composition testing equipment. However, if you don’t want to wait 20 minutes in the subway, please avoid carrying parcels and liquids.

6. Don’t confuse the teahouse with the tea hotel.

Chengdu is the hometown of mahjong, the latter is the daily entertainment of most people there. The main function of the tea hotel is where to play mahjong, while the teahouse is the place to drink tea.

7. Don’t think that Chengdu is full of giant pandas.

In addition to the Panda Base, Chengdu Panda, Dujiangyan and Ya’an Bifengxia Panda Base have giant pandas to visit, but not all parks are available.

8. Don’t ask if there is anything delicious.

Hot pot, skewer, pheasant, night hoof, barbecue, dry pot, crayfish… When you stroll through the food street, you will find many new continents.

9. Don’t miss Sichuan Opera.

When you come to Chengdu, you have to go to see Sichuan opera. Kuan Zhai Lane and Jin Li have a performance once a week. There are also many teahouses in Jiulidi and Mengchaowan. You can listen to the Sichuan Opera. Since coming to Chengdu, you can still feel the culture of Sichuan.

10. Don’t worry about traffic in Chengdu scenic area.

There is a shuttle bus in Chengdu’s scenic spots. You don’t have to look around for transportation. You can go directly to the scenic reception desk or inquiry point to get to the bus for the next attraction.
